      Claire, Melinda was asking Tuba Man if she could put her head inside his tuba, and would he play a note?

      He didn't have his mouth piece with him.

    Did she have her earplugs with her? Probably just as well he didn't have his mouthpiece. Tubas are not whispery instruments.
