Turn Around

My sentimental husband has been playing a Rosemary Clooney/Keith Carradine version of this song (which unfortunately is not on YouTube), and I've had to tell him to stop. It makes me cry every time! This Kodak ad, which features the song, made me cry as a child, alas. I'm a damn sap, that's what I am.

I was in a movie with Keith (The Duallists); he never told me he could SING! I must hear that.

I remember that commercial! BTW, the song is by Malvina Reynolds, and Nanci Griffith does a gorgeous cover of it on her Other Rooms, Other Voices CD.

I remember the Kingston Trio doing a version of this. It always made me cry, too! And now, with my 'baby' having a baby, I'm bawling like a baby. (Thanks, btw, T)

Scarlet Ribbons was another one of the period that always got me crying.....

Of course, the commercials about "Cotton: The Fabric of our Lives" used to get me in the guts when I was going through menopause!
