No, not the hydrangeas on my attic windowsill
so leached of color they mirror the winter sky.
And not those rasping outside all night against the house — awake, awake— no matter what dreams they unravel —
Your blog color palate is my favorite and the most soothing for me to look at. Your pictures and your latest header, I can just get lost looking at them. Is the header picture your photo? I keep coming back to look at it. Thank you.
Mel, someone once told me that it's not the sun we need to keep those brain chemicals firing right, but the blue of the sky. Not sure if this is science or not, but I certainly do know that the color blue, and also green, has a tremendous soothing effect on me.
Have you ever noticed how difficult it is to find clothing in this blue color? I'm always on the lookout, but am rarely successful. There was a time when I grew only blue flowers in my garden. A small obsession, I suppose, and for good reason.
And yes, the photos here are all mine, unless otherwise noted.
The color of your language reflects all the glorious color of your blog. I just love to come here, read and then sit and bathe in it.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Elizabeth.
