I found this in a box in my basement
along with a slew of letters dated
from the 1920's. This line is particularly
enigmatic:

SEE IF YOU HAVE YOUR SHAKESPEARE
BALL UP ON STOCK BY RAHMER OR
WILKENS DON'T FAIL THIS TIME PLEASE

  1. OOOoooh.

This sounds like something from film noir. Right out of Hitchcock or something. I really love this stuff.

I just checked Ancestry.com and your C.V is Carrie Viola born 1898 and a bookkeeper in a lumber mill.

I recently did a post about something I found in a book and I also found some teenage ramblings circa 1948 under my floor boards.

Are you going to persue this? He sounds like an evil big brother to me.

  2. CP: Your blog inspired me to post this! Lawrence is Carrie's fiance. I have several years of correspondence between the two. Mostly it's pretty dull...

I really should pay for a subscription to ancestry.com.
