Artifact

Where to find a space, in a small city backyard, to bury my cat?
Under the apple tree, I think, with its shower of May blossoms.

I could toss my wedding rings in too, a bright glint of surprise
beside bones for some future excavator.

It could be a lucky day for a stranger .

  1. How. Beautiful. This Top. Your Photo.

Where the kitteh goes back sounds perfect.

It was an anxious time without news here since blogger went down for so long, while I was sort of out of touch one way and another with the final stage of moving -- no, no smart phones over here ....

Again, I must say, how very beautiful this photograph and its content are. You are such an artist.

    Love, C.

  2. So sorry about your dear cat. I would sell the rings and at least get something for all the trouble. Thoughts and prayers, Marguerite

  3. So sorry to hear of yet more sadness in your life.

There is light at the end of the tunnel - it is just that it can take a long time coming especially after the way you were treated.

Under the apple tree sounds like just the spot.

  4. As with the others above, I'm very sorry to hear about your cat. I guess it's the only down side to pet ownership. The apple tree sounds purr-fect.
