This Single Day

Dancing at work while making photomasks, eating chocolate and drinking plum vodka. (Thursday Happy Hour.)

And damn, did we hustle.

It's not all bad.

But it's not all good either.

Mostly, it's not good.
It's a minute-at-a-time slog.

It's anger, betrayal, rage.

It's a loss of faith and trust.
Fragile, tender things, those.
Elusive things.

---

May you show kindness to everyone you meet,
and may they extend that kindness in return.

  1. Are faith and trust efforts of will or are they grace?
Anyway. I'm glad you have some moments of good times in amongst the bad. Got to be progress, or anyway, got to be celebrated.

    Happy Easter, T.

  2. With many kind and warm thoughts for you and many others, I wish you Good Day, Mistress T!

We're chasing off to D.C. in a few minutes to go a-rumba-ing. Los Muñequitos de Matanzas (Cooba) are touring the U.S. for the first time since the bushwaw2 put down the hammer on Cuban-U.S. relations of any kind in 2003.

    Love, C.

  3. A little good, a little bad, a little nondescript....sounds like life is starting to slowly get back onto its track. Plum vodka sounds interesting.

  5. Boiled down to the essence, what we have to give is our kindness, attention, love...what other reason to be here? There are some weak spots (some profoundly weak spots) in the fabric of it all and we stumble on them. To be able, willing to dance...this is good. xo
