Fir

A wee visual posting of seasonal nature —
green sprig with red tips,
the sparkle of a snowflake
ever-so-delicate
that caught the light
at the right angle —

    1. Tara, the red tips are the buds of new growth, tightly closed, awaiting the cue to burst forth —

thought you might like the following that an FB friend posted this morning:

    A single fir-tree, lonely,

    On a northern mountain height,

    Sleeps in a white blanket,

    Draped in snow and ice.

His dreams are of a palm-tree,

    Who, far in eastern lands,

    Weeps, all alone and silent,

    Among the burning sands.

    1. Ah, lovely, Susan!
So much of life swirls around the yin/yang, the duality of everything. Here/there, yes/no, the grass is always greener....
