A few things I saw on my walk today:

--a half-built sailboat
--grape hyacinth pressing up between cracks in the sidewalk
--a yellow curvy plastic slide in a front yard
--a Japanese flag in a window
--a man setting forms for concrete steps

  3. Hi T., What a nice post. My nephew in Seattle describes his little daughter playing soccer in the cold rain--... I hope the weather was a little more pleasant on your walk. sp

  4. You are out. You are walking. Your observing self is still working. One foot in front of the other, T. That's how any of us get through our hard times. There isn't any other way. Maybe tomorrow you'll stuff a small note book and pen in your pocket--just in case. xo

  5. Grape hyacinth has magical powers for me...as a child I would peer over a neighbor's hedge to see it growing, along with Johnny Jump-ups, in mossy parts near the iris, under weeping willows. As though they belong to fairy folk, all the stronger for growing through the sidewalk. A good sign. xo
